THe viaduct at Llanddulas

 

The Viaduct situated on the A547 road part of which connects Penmaenhead to Llanddulas over the headland. Completed in 1931 it is an amazing structure built to widen the road over a gap in the limestone quarry faces. This view is taken from the cycle path which runs alongside the beach and parrallel to the A55 Expressway.

Another view of the Viaduct below is a picture postcard view taken probably around the late 1930`s. Note the evidence of the Lime kiln chimneys at the quarry.
